If the power switch is turned on or the power cord plugged in, then the fan is silent, all the voltage at the socket when measured using a voltmeter to zero, except on pin 9 is +5 V as a voltage source to the standby position. If pin 14 is connected momentarily to the pin 9 by means of a cable, then the fan will spin, the voltage on each pin of socket 20 when measured using a voltmeter is as in Table 9. Especially for power good signal when measured with a voltmeter to voltage +5 V for a moment and then drop to near 0V when power is turned on.
